Sam Heughan’s character Jamie can be seen in the middle of a heated exchange

Outlander star Sam Heughan’s character, Jamie, can be seen in a tense exchange with Native Americans while filming in Cumbernauld.

The footage comes after Season 4 filming revealed Caitriona Balfe‘s Clare could be in serious danger after being spotted on set.

Scots fans went wild when the show’s most recent Scottish filming locations were revealed.

Heughan can be seen in the clip surrounded by Native Americans brandishing spears and guns as the camera crew take up position.

It looks like a dangerous stand off with the natives as a rifle is pointed at his head in the middle of the woodland.

Production rolled into Cumbernauld Glen last month with viewers spotting a sign posted announcing the filming.

One glam fan even turned up on set in a bid to catch the Scots hunk’s eye with her racy get-up.

Last month, Richard Rankin, who plays Roger Wakefield in the hit series, was spotted in Falkland, Fife, where the village was given a retro makeover

New Outlander episodes have been rumoured to be set to air later this year.

And telly chiefs have also admitted they’re in talks over the future of the hit drama.

Outlander star Sam Heughan spotted on a night out in Glasgow

Sam Heughan is busy filming for Season 4 of Outlander, but he still managed to sneak away for a little alone time with girlfriend Mackenzie Mauzy. On the heels of Caitriona Balfe’s exciting engagement news, the Outlander star was spotted enjoying a night on the town in Glasgow, Scotland.

Heughan Steps Out With Girlfriend
According to International Business Times, Heughan and Mackenzie were spotted at a concert in Glasgow over the weekend. The two have been dating since 2015 and were seen at the Grit Orchestra Bothy Culture and Beyond concert.

Heughan and Mackenzie typically keep their romance under wraps and seeing them in public is a rare thing. But it does confirm that Heughan is still dating Mackenzie, despite fans wishing that he and Balfe somehow get together in real life.

Balfe Shows Off Stunning Ring
Balfe’s surprise engagement was confirmed during her recent appearance at the Golden Globes. The Outlander star dazzled fans on the red carpet and showed off her massive engagement ring under the bright lights. Balfe later confirmed the engagement and admitted that she couldn’t be happier. The actress has been in a relationship with Tony McGill for the past two years.

Like Heughan, Balfe likes to keep her romance private and has only been photographed with McGill on a handful of occasions. They were previously spotted together at the Oscar Wilde Awards last year and at the Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony for Jodie Foster in 2016.

Heughan And Balfe Party During Golden Globes
Heughan and Balfe aren’t romantically involved in real life, but they still know how to party together. Ahead of the Golden Globes earlier this month, the Outlander stars met at a pre-party in Los Angeles at the prestigious Chateau Marmont.

Heughan donned a blue suit for the event while Balfe stunned the crowd in a Dior velvet dress and matching earrings. Balfe was up for an award for best actress in a TV series and couldn’t be happier about the nomination. She also took a moment to talk about the Time’s Up movement, showing her support for other actresses in Hollywood.

“I think it’s a really great moment of solidarity for women, so it’ll be nice for all of us to join together and to make a really positive statement and a positive moment for change,” Balfe shared. “And I still think it’s a celebratory moment, but it’s, you know, we’re changing things, so I think that’s great.”

When Can We Expect The Wedding?
Balfe has not revealed any more details about her engagement and we still don’t have an official wedding date. Heughan rarely talks about his romantic life, so it’s difficult to tell if he and Mackenzie are also ready to take things to the next level.

Both Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe are currently busy filming the new season of Outlander, so it’s safe to safe that a wedding won’t be happening anytime soon.

Blackness Castle goes back to 1440 . The castle provides the setting for Fort William, as the original fort no longer exists.

The castle is long and narrow because of the shape of the rock on which it is situated and it is sometimes called ‘ the ship that never sailed ‘ . It guards the bay at Blackness and is only a few miles from Linlithgow Palace . The first castle was built in the middle of the 15th century by Sir George Crichton , Earl of Caithness , a member of one of the most powerful families in Scotland . King James II acquired Blackness in 1453 when he annexed the lands of the Crichtons . From then on the castle was mainly used as a prison . In 1543 Cardinal Beaton was held here for a month . Rebuilding started in the 1530s under the direction of Sir James Hamilton of Finnart who also worked at Linlithgow Palace and Stirling Castle . He was instructed to make the castle safe from artillery , and he achieved this by making the south and east walls very thick . A new tower was built at the south end . In the 1560s , in the reign of Mary Queen of Scots , a Spur was built to protect the main gate . In the 1870s the castle was the main ammunition depot for Scotland .The Castle is a popular location for historical re-enactments and has changed little in 600 years . Doune is one of the best preserved medieval castles in Scotland.

Hamlet has scenes filmed at Blackness Castle and Dunnottar Castle.

Midhope Castle – Outlander’s Lallybroch

Midhope Castle
Midhope Castle

Located on the Hopetoun Estate is Midhope Castle which is the external location for fictional Lallybroch, the family home of character Jamie Fraser. Midhope Castle dates back to the 15th Century and although the exterior is relatively intact the castle is derelict inside.

Most of the filming takes place in Scotland,  according to the show’s executive producer Ron Moore .
Scotland’s stunning landscape, with its rolling hills, rugged mountains, picturesque towns and villages, castles and sprawling beaches has provided the perfect backdrop for the world of cinema.
The show is based on American author Diana Gabaldon’s series of historical novels, which sees nurse Claire Beauchamp Randell mysteriously swept back from 1945 to 1743 Highland Scotland where rebellion and romance are afoot.  Executive Producer Ron Moore has commented on Scotland : “The landscape itself is a character in the show. There’s a particular quality to the light in Scotland, even to the grass and the trees.”

Edinburgh Castle

Edinburgh Castle commands the whole of the city centre , sitting on a volcanic rock . The castle is perhaps the spookiest in Britain because it has many ghosts. There is a drummer who only appears when the castle is
about to be attacked. A piper who disappeared in the
tunnels between the castle and the High Street comes back to haunt the dungeons. The castle is Scotland’s biggest visitor attraction with thousands of visitors each year.

Eilean Donan Castle

This is one of the most picturesque and most photographed castles in
the world . Robert the Bruce took refuge here in 1306 . The
original castle was destroyed in 1719 when 3 English
frigates attacked the Spanish troops garrisoned there
. The castle was rebuilt in the 20th century . This castle is spooky because the spirit of
a Spanish troop is said to haunt the castle.

Castle

The Blue Bedroom is the haunt of one of the Gordon clan members, who
fell from a window. He had been pushed to his death by “Red”
Sir John Forbes, a noble. Several people heard the step of
the unfortunate Gordon climbing the stairs to the Blue
Bedroom, as if he was living the moment before his death
again and again.One of the
other ghosts is one of a musician, who is very selective (he
shows himself just to people with the name of Forbes). He
fell in the moat of the castle and drowned. Send free Halloween e-cards

Linlithgow Palace

This was the castle of the Stewart kings of Scotland from the 15th
century . In 1512Mary , Queen of Scots was born here .
Queen Margaret’s Tower at the top of the stair towers
, is said to be haunted by the Queen’s mother , Mary of Guise , waiting for the
return of her husband , James V .

Crathes
Castle

In the oldest part of the castle, the double tower, there is a room
known as the Green Lady’s Room, because of the several
apparitions of this unknown woman with a baby. It is said
that she’s a member of the Burnett family, proprietor of the
castle.These
apparitions began after the discover of two skeletons,
during renovation work : one of a woman and one of a baby.
The baby is said to be the child of a man who preferred to
kill the baby and the mother to hide their
relationship.The fact
that the apparitions continue, even after the discover of
the bodies means than the two poor beings will never be able
to rest in peace.

Stirling Castle

The castle stands on volcanic rock overlooking the town of Stirling and
the countryside . Mary , Queen of Scots was crowned in the
old chapel in 1533 . The Pink Lady , a beautiful woman in a
pink silk gown , has been seen many times at the castle . It
may be Mary , Queen of Scots. Others say it is the ghost of
a woman searching for her husband who had been killed when
Edward I captured the castle .
